In close collaboration with the northern division of the Defense Real Estate Department (Dienst Vastgoed Defensie / DVD Zwolle), Eco Heating Systems analyzed all space heating and domestic hot water requirements to provide technical consultancy for the new construction of the "Police and Marechaussee Training Center" in Zwolle. This state-of-the-art tactical training facility features multiple indoor practice environments designed to simulate both real-world street and residential scenarios. Additionally, the building houses a sports hall, combat training rooms, and specialized firearms simulation rooms.

Technical Configuration

The space heating and hot water systems were expertly installed by Vredenburg Installatietechniek to meet the diverse operational demands of the training center: Space Heating: Thermal energy for the building is distributed via air handling units, radiant ceiling panels, and traditional radiators. Space heating is supplied by a cascade setup of two high-efficiency Ambassador+ 80 commercial boilers. Domestic Hot Water (DHW): To reliably serve the extensive sanitary facilities supporting both residential quarters and athletic amenities—including 20 communal showers—the system integrates a CD 120 direct-fired water heater coupled with a 300-liter storage buffer tank.

Thanks to this successful installation, DVD Zwolle possesses a modern, highly functional training facility for the Police and Royal Marechaussee. We look back on an excellent collaboration with Vredenburg Installatietechniek on this successful project.
