Domestic Hot Water Configuration 4 CD 180 in combination with two 450 liter water tanks
A new high-capacity domestic hot water plant from Eco Heating Systems was installed at an NH Hotels location in Amsterdam. The hotel property features 124 guest rooms, each equipped with both a bath and a shower. In addition, the facility operates an on-site restaurant capable of seating 150 guests.
Technical Configuration
To satisfy the heavy, simultaneous peak water demand across all guest rooms and kitchen facilities, a high-output direct-fired water heating system was engineered:System Capacity: The setup features four CD 180 direct-fired water heaters (each delivering 180 kW of output) paired with two 450-liter hot water buffer tanks.Reduced Standby Losses: By relying on high instantaneous boiler capacity rather than massive static water storage, the installation maintains a compact footprint while significantly minimizing thermal standby losses (stilstandsverliezen).Peak Demand & Redundancy: The high available thermal output easily handles heavy morning shower peaks. Furthermore, operating multiple boilers in parallel guarantees operational reliability, ensuring hotel guests always have uninterrupted access to hot water.
