The company places ongoing emphasis on energy conservation while simultaneously pioneering new sectors, such as producing premium calcium salt for the dairy and brewing industries, and manufacturing magnesium hydroxide for advanced environmental applications. Over the coming years, Nedmag plans to sustain major investments in process optimization and industrial innovation. A significant share of Nedmag's output serves international markets. This success is largely rooted in a unique, ultra-pure magnesium salt layer formed over millions of years at depths of 1,500 to 1,800 meters in the north of the Netherlands, making it uniquely qualified for specialized Health & Wellness applications.
Which central heating boilers were delivered to Nedmag Veendam?
Nedmag employs approximately 140 professionals across its production facilities and corporate offices. To provide efficient climate control for its main office complex, Eco Heating Systems supplied a high-capacity Central Heating System. For this building, two floor-standing Senator central heating boilers work in tandem to deliver a combined total output of over 800 kW in heating capacity. As a high-volume industrial consumer, Nedmag sources specialized high-caloric, odorless natural gas directly through GasTerra. This gas supply is utilized both to power their core manufacturing processes and to fire the new heating system within the office complex.
Installation of the heating systems
The complete engineering, mechanical layout, and installation of the boiler plant room were executed by technical service provider Equans (operating under the Engie brand at the time of the project). Because this project involved the direct replacement of an outdated system during sub-zero winter temperatures, the installation teams worked around the clock to commission the system as rapidly as possible. This swift execution was highly appreciated by the office staff, who have since been enjoying a reliably warm and comfortable working environment.
