Marianum College is part of the Stichting Carmelcollege educational foundation, providing secondary education across its campuses in Groenlo and Lichtenvoorde. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO), senior general secondary education (HAVO), and pre-university education (Atheneum and Gymnasium).
Technical Configuration
To ensure optimal indoor climate comfort for students and faculty, both the central heating plant and the domestic hot water systems were completely modernized.
Central Heating (CH): The space heating plant features a four-boiler cascade array consisting of two Ambassador+ 150 and two Ambassador+ 180 high-efficiency condensing boilers. Domestic Hot Water (DHW): Hot water demand is served separately by a Consul 55 condensing water heater coupled with an integrated 230-liter buffer vessel. Engineering & Flue Design: During the early design phase, close technical coordination between Wiecherink Advies and Eco Heating Systems determined the exact load requirements and space constraints. Due to limited overhead clearance above the boilers, a concentric flue gas system was specified, routing directly through the roof structure.
The complete installation was expertly executed in collaboration with Alferink Installatietechniek. Thanks to this seamless partnership, Marianum College benefits from a reliable, highly efficient heating infrastructure.
