Breskens Marina provides berthing facilities for visiting boaters along the Zeeland coastline. On average, around 100 boats dock daily, creating high peak shower and sanitary demands as sailors refresh themselves after a day on the water.

Technical Configuration & Hybrid Operation
To supply large volumes of sanitary hot water while drastically cutting natural gas consumption, a high-efficiency hybrid domestic hot water plant was engineered and installed by Installatiebedrijf Dierx: Primary Renewable Source: A high-capacity 60 kW commercial heat pump provides continuous, low-carbon baseload heating to charge the buffer storage. Peak Load & Boosting: A high-output CB-HW 85 kW direct-fired water heater provides rapid thermal boosting and ensures reliable high-temperature supply during intense shower peak hours. Thermal Buffer: Two 1,000-liter storage vessels store renewable energy efficiently, allowing the heat pump to operate continuously at optimal efficiency. Smart Integration: The heat pump and gas-fired water heater communicate dynamically to heat the storage tanks using the most energy-efficient combination based on real-time load and temperature requirements.
This robust configuration guarantees 100% hot water availability for guests while significantly lowering overall energy operating costs and carbon emissions.
