De Bonte Wever in Assen is an expansive multi-use complex featuring a hotel, event and conference centers, an ice rink, a swimming pool, fitness suites, and multiple hospitality venues. Primary space heating and energy generation for the entire complex are handled by three gas turbines.To guarantee continuous operational reliability and supply full thermal redundancy for the primary gas turbine system, Eco Heating Systems provided a heavy-duty backup boiler plant delivering 1.5 MW of combined heating capacity.
Plant Room Installation
Mechanical contractor De Groot Installatiegroep expertly handled the installation and integration of the Senator boiler cascade: Compact Footprint: Thanks to the compact design of the Senator series, the large-capacity units were easily maneuvered and installed within the existing plant room space. BMS Integration: Advanced control features allowed the boilers to be seamlessly integrated with the venue's overall Building Management System (BMS), ensuring instantaneous startup whenever backup thermal capacity is required.
