Last Tuesday, a group of 50 installation technology students from the Alfa College in Groningen visited the Eco Heating Systems manufacturing facility.

Following a warm welcome, the students attended an engaging presentation by Sales Manager René Kleine. During this session, they were introduced to the diverse range of commercial products and services supplied by Eco Heating Systems. The presentation also delved deeply into the shifting technologies behind domestic hot water and central heating delivery, exploring both current industry methods and future developments.
Heat pumps: A new addition to the product range
Traditionally, Eco Heating Systems has been an established supplier of gas-fired boilers for the commercial and utility sectors. However, since the beginning of 2023, the product range has expanded to include high-capacity heat pumps. In particular, the hybrid heat pump—which strategically pairs a central heating boiler with an electric heat pump—has proven to be a highly effective solution for commercial clients looking to slash energy expenses and drop CO2 emissions. Eco Heating Systems has further developed this hybrid integration for high-capacity applications, ensuring a tailored layout can be engineered to match any client's specific site requirements.

Behind the scenes in the production facility Following the presentation, the students were split into smaller groups for a guided tour of the factory floor. This provided them with firsthand insight into the main assembly line, where technicians explained the production processes and demonstrated the technical commissioning and calibration of commercial boilers. Over at the heat pump assembly zone, the guides provided specialized technical explanations regarding system mechanics and practical deployment, focusing heavily on configuring high-output hybrid setups alongside traditional gas boilers.
Interested in hosting a practical training day?
Would your organization or school like to organize a practical training day or an educational factory tour? We welcome these opportunities at our headquarters. Our facility features a dedicated test laboratory where technicians and students can get hands-on experience working directly with our boilers—making it the perfect environment for installers to get to know our equipment. Currently, we have a fully live hybrid configuration up and running on the factory floor for visitors to view. Our team will gladly walk you through exactly why this system operates so efficiently and show you how it can achieve major savings on your annual gas consumption.
