Delivery of Four Senator Central Heating Boilers to Gas Receiving Station

Eco Heating Systems has successfully delivered four high-capacity Senator central heating boilers for a Gas Receiving Station (GRS) in the Middle East.

What is a Gas Receiving Station?

A Gas Receiving Station (GRS) is a technical facility where natural gas is received, inspected, metered, and regulated to the correct pressure before being distributed to an end-user or a local grid. It serves as the vital link between the high-pressure transmission network and the downstream consumer infrastructure. Despite the high ambient temperatures in the Middle East, the rapid reduction of gas pressure poses a significant risk of freezing due to the Joule-Thomson effect. Even at an ambient temperature of 20°C, thermal energy must be added to the gas stream. Our central heating boilers ensure that the Gas Receiving Station continues to operate seamlessly without any risk of freezing.

System configuration and specifications

The four gas-fired, high-efficiency Senator boilers are built into a mobile 20-foot shipping container. The appliances operate intelligently together as a single integrated system. With a modulation range of 8:1 per boiler, the heat output can be precisely matched to the changing thermal demand. This cascade arrangement guarantees maximum operational reliability; if one boiler encounters a fault, the remaining units instantly take over the heating load. Each Senator boiler delivers an output of up to 576 kW while occupying a footprint of less than 1 square meter. This makes it a compact powerhouse that is exceptionally well-suited for critical heating applications where reliability is paramount, thanks to its stainless steel heat exchanger, dual burners, and redundant controls.
