The New Natural Gas Supply Landscape
The composition of natural gas distributed across the Dutch grid is shifting. The transition includes locally injected biomethane alongside imported High-calorific gas (H-gas) sourced via international pipelines and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals. Because the precise calorific values and chemical compositions of these gas supplies fluctuate continuously, gas-fired boilers must be engineered to handle diverse gas categories safely without performance loss or combustion instability.
Hydrogen-Ready Commercial Heating
In line with ongoing grid decarbonization strategies, the latest commercial boiler ranges from Eco Heating Systems are certified to operate on a natural gas mixture containing up to 20% hydrogen (H2). This certification ensures that installed heating plants remain fully operational and compliant as gas grid operators incrementally transition toward green hydrogen blends.
