The demo space now features a fully connected, live-operational hybrid system. Here, we demonstrate the practical mechanics and the extensive benefits of a hybrid heat pump configuration to installers and building owners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What is the layout of the showroom?<\/h2>\n<p>The hybrid demonstration setup consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GHS 60.2 Heat Pump<\/li>\n<li>A 1,000-liter buffer tank<\/li>\n<li>CB-105 CH and CB-85 CH heating boilers<\/li>\n<li>An IB central heating boiler with an output of 625 kW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-515698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ecohs.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Demo-ruimte-Eco-Heating-Systems.png\" alt=\"Demoo-ruimte hybride warmtepomp Eco Heating Systems\" width=\"640\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ecohs.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Demo-ruimte-Eco-Heating-Systems.png 640w, https:\/\/www.ecohs.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Demo-ruimte-Eco-Heating-Systems-480x225.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 640px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How does this hybrid system operate?<\/h2>\n<p>The heat pump is the central element within a hybrid configuration. It is piped directly to the buffer tank, ensuring that the water temperature inside the tank is constantly maintained at the correct baseline level.When the building's heating system is active, the return water flows back into the buffer tank after releasing its heat into the rooms. Typically, this water has cooled down by approximately 20 degrees (Delta T), and the heat pump efficiently brings it back up to the target temperature.<\/p>\n<p>During extreme winter cold or periods of peak demand\u2014when all radiators are fully open\u2014the return water temperature drops significantly lower than standard operating thresholds. In this scenario, the central heating boilers instantly step in. The boilers fire up to directly heat the water flowing toward the radiators, providing the necessary thermal boost.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Inline supply and return thermometers<\/h2>\n<p>To make the thermodynamic process visible, we have integrated precision thermometers into both the supply and return lines of the showroom installation.
