The advantage of this is that no gas is consumed to heat water, resulting in sustainable heating and fewer CO2 emissions. A disadvantage of the electric boiler is that it consumes a large amount of electricity. Furthermore, it heats up less quickly and has a lower capacity than a gas-fired boiler. At moments when the heat pump cannot meet the heating demand (during peak hours), the boiler steps in. An advantage is that you save up to 75% on gas consumption and emit less harmful CO2.
